Verizon Customer Service.

I wonder if all the customer service automation still makes sense. I studied Computer Science in the 80th and what I see in today’s world doesn’t make any sense anymore, technology has become inhumane. CEOs really believe they can treat a customer as a data entry clerk no matter how fucked up their programs are. With Verizon it is most rediculous: a phone company that doesn’t take phone calls to answer a question for a very simple event: the person on the account has died and the account needs to be in the name of the surviving spouse. That should not take longer than 5 minutes. However, Verizon doesn’t even pick up the phone, sends you to a useless app and three security passwords later this simple task is still not accomplished. I don’t take any of this overcooked corporate bullshit. Stock holders do not even vote anymore directly in the annual meetings. You have a choice as a consumer. And I enjoy every day that choice.

They send a transfer request to a dead person, how legal is that?
