is the 90° right turn from Traders Lane into Wilson Rd in Indianapolis, driving direction is Traders Lane into Wilson Rd.
The speed limit is 10 miles per hour.
I made this turn many times savely, only once on a rainy day the car was sliding on the slippery road.
Many accidents happen here, sometimes 3 in a week: cars slide across the street in the crash barrier on the opposite side.
Many month the crash barrier was torn down and cars drove in the ditch behind it.
Now, the crash barrier has been renewed again and black on yellow arrows show the direction of the upcoming turn, however those arrows only show in the direction Wilson Rd to Traders Lane which is the left turn, no accidents happen in that direction. And to the big surprise of the local residents no arrows but one show the upcoming right turn from the direction Traders Lane into Wilson Rd..
Why do I write this blog? There are two requests into the mayor’s office to improve the condition of this turn, nobody replied. A rough new layer of asphalt would make sense or speed bumps.
We stop and ask all crashed drivers: did you slide? Yes they said , they slid taking the right turn into the crash barrier and beyond on the opposite side of the street. One driver said the GPS driving directions say it’s a 30 miles per hour right turn. His car is wrecked and he said he will sue. Right, this turn is a trap for many drivers and whoever is responsible to fix it doesn’t understand the problem.
