I have a checking and savings account at a credit union. I went three times to that credit union (Forum) to make sure, that any use of my debit card would cancel, if the checking account balance ist zero or becomes negative. I have a masters degree in computer science and this is an easy thing to do. In spite of my efforts , the debit card drew from the savings account when the checking account funds were spent. Does the debit card tell me how much money is available to spend? No, it doesn’t! However looking into a wallet carrying cash does. What is the advantage of modern technology? To increase what? Customer stupidification? To what, customer fucking-stupidification? And what’s beyond that? Voter stupidification and increase of the national debt ceiling. Is that what democracy is about? Just asking, sorry.
