Voting in Indiana.

To live in a democracy is a wonderful experience, even without ever being exposed to the hardship in non-democratic countries. Even if democracy isn’t always at its best, there is always hope for it to become better.

Now the voting in Indiana is like this: the first question is: do you vote for the Republican or the Democrats party. When you chose either one, the candidate for your party is coming up to vote fo, that is okay. So you vote for your party candidate. No problem.

Now however there is another government office to be voted for and for that office only a candidate of the opposition party is available.

So, now do you vote for the only person available even if the person is not from your party?

When you don’t vote for the only available person, what do you really vote for? That the system doesn’t work and therefore this government office is obsolete? That democracy doesn’t work because there are no candidates to be voted for?

It is an indicator how many people actually are going to vote in any election. Is there an indicator how many individuals are available to be voted for?

Such system might deteriorate and decay.

Then you can ask to be an actor with a bicycle stemming your balls and a briefcase under your smelly armpit and be voted for with 70% of all available votes while feeding your people to a deadly grinder and while making billions for the military and construction industrial complex.
