Trump didn’t seem to know about it because he annoyed China with rhetoric and prefers to bring money in suitcases to the US. Even Biden annoyed China and Yellen fixed it. So the solution would be Lindner traveling to China, since he it the only German politician who hasn’t annoyed China yet and Lindner asking for bonds. Maybe it works.
