Taxes For Expats.

Taxes For Expats, a New York based company of Ines Zemelman advertises the capability of filing taxes of international income tax scenarios.

This is the result :

The double taxation law is violated between the United States of America and Germany.

An inheritance in Germany that was fully and lawfully taxed in Germany is now charged with $895,325.55 fine because TFX failed to file an extension on behalf of the customer and filed the necessary form 2 month after the due date.

In 2023 the available income of the customer is $850 per month.

TFX collects $1375 for the preparation of the 2023 income tax return which produces an obligation to pay $1330 state and $861 federal tax for 2023.

This is a sum of $3566 for state, federal taxes and tax preparation on a $850 monthly income. What part of word “double taxation agreement” did they not understand? The law should prevent to be taxed in both countries but obviously it doesn’t!!!

I ask myself, why the responsible representatives are so busy giving billions of Dollars and Euros away to war zones, if they cannot even manage the tax returns of their constituencies?

The income tax return in Germany for the same person for 2021 is even not finished yet. There are no financial statements available for the inheritance for 2017-2023!!!

On a $10,200 income, the federal tax is $1,023 for married filed separately.

Overall :

TFX is robust and professional through all the up and downs of the International tax law. They are thorough and review a complicated situation until it is done right. 10 years a satisfied customer and counting.
