Endorsements.

Representatives in parliaments were an invention of the past. It was a necessary function.

Today with the Internet, individuals represent themselves. Opinion-forming in parliaments is drowning in an ocean of opinion-forming through the Internet. We represent ourselves. Preferences are analyzed and played back as artificial intelligence. Main stream operated mass manipulation.

Ross Perot, a presidential candidate, offering an alternative to the black and white, dual political system or the so called one party system of the rich. He endorsed his running mate. That’s what was called endorsement. Endorsement meant, that individuals who voted for him should vote for the endorsed person. Why would that work for individuals representing consumer products? Electing a consumer product forward the vote for a politician. The endless decimal code, e. g. liter divided by gallon, used for mind control or mass manipulation.

Today the Internet is not a communication service provider, it is an influencer machinery.

In the newspaper days, articles and authors were edited for acceptable content, I never heard about censorship against a paying customer, meaning the customer is not allowed to buy a newspaper.

Social media, communication platforms, became a manipulation engine that endorses, celebrities became a vehicle for endorsement.

An effort to mass manipulate. A desperate effort politicizes the commercial aspect of our lives.

Blinkered thinking based on consumer preferences that has absolutely nothing to do with an individual political opinion.

The political process is about a candidate and a political program.

It’s not at all about the commercial individual preferences of a candidate or a consumer product.

This new helpless endorsement practice is a desperate measure to imprint, to label, to form political options based on consumer preference.

It is a loss of neutrality.

It is the loss of a political message based on a political program.

When a politicial campaign cannot be differentiated any more from a marketing campaigns, politicians  just become a candy in a candy store. Puppets, humanoids in a doll house, a product on a shelve.

What a politician should be is the expression of hope of a people.
