Why tariffs don’t work.

Tariffs suffocate trade. We depend on each other, we have to trade.

Economic sanctions are also shooting yourselves in the food as a response to military actions. Like going with a knife in a gun fight.

Global economy disaster is caused by dumping price politics. Large organization can sell regionally below product cost until all regional competitors go bankrupt, when there is no competition, sales price will be elevated above production cost.

That’s a different dynamic than buying cheap in one region and selling more expensive in another, that’s lucrative trade.

Now dumping price strategies are mixed up with lucrative trade.

And all big companies should be stock companies, big businesses should be accountable to their stock holders. Add an index how many humans lost their lives associated with each stock company profit, then investors can decide if they want to be a part of the killing. When you can add an index for carbon footprint why not adding an index for loss of human life. A privately held company doesn’t care, they only look at raw material value, a human is $15 in raw materials.
