In the movie it is said that global shipping companies don’t pay taxes, tariffs will make their business visible. 30 years as a SAP consultant, I was wondering why shipping and transportation cost were not a part of the bill of material, it didn’t make sense. Onions from New Zealand shipped to Europe? Cover-up shipments. It is right to impose taxes on shipping companies, I doubt tariffs will solve the real problem.

Harbors don’t know which ship travels under which name where. What is normal for the bus-  and train networks is not at all the case for the shipping industry. Another privately held business, that can bribe top down and needs to be transfered in a stock company.
