The UN and the UN Security Council members are not elected in a universal, equal, free, secret and direct election process. The assumption that an elected official of a nation has to serve time at the UN is an intrusion into the responsibilities of that elected official towards his/her nation (Likewise an employee of one company cannot work for another employer). The UN therefore is a intrest group or a country club membership. The question needs to be asked how much support this country club provides for corrupted businesses like illegal arms deal and illegal drug business.
