The catholic mass has a psychological dimension, it is a ritual how to live in peace. believers come together, they sing, they confess their sins, they sing, they show remorse, they sing, they ask for forgiveness, they sing, they are forgiven, they sing, they eat and drink, they sing, they are getting their blessings, they sing and return home to live another week.
This works, it’s my understanding of being a Christian.
So why are people leaving the church? Because they don’t live what they preach? The deep organ pipes that cause fear are not used anymore, however electronic sound systems in churches must emit waves that make you feel like a good sheep. How much do believers really talk to each other? Some don’t talk at all, their believe is non-verbal nevertheless loving. Or the case of a TBI asking for forgiveness, how can you ask for forgiveness if you are not able to understand your wrongdoing, cannot create remorse, the need to ask for forgiveness is not insight it is caused by the rejection of loved ones, by love withdrawal. Forgiveness doesn’t help because with the lack of understanding and remorse the process ends in a deadlock of forgiveness and he/she/it did it again!
Why did the catholic church not understand that any deviation from this wonderful method needed an alternative step? When a process went long enough in the wrong direction it cannot be fixed anymore. However not all go in the wrong direction. They live their believes and show resilience to authoritarian wrongdoing. Authority comes with responsibility, truly responsible can only be someone who is able to listen.
Remember the trick about the volunteer? Soldiers stand in a line, the commanding officers asks a question and expects at least one to step forward. Nobody steps forward, but all except one step backward.
Believers take the step backward to rescue their beliefs, they don’t go to church anymore, there is a lack of trust. Rightfully so, because confession of sins is a group event, not a duty demanded by an authority, rather a duty requested by a responsible. I cannot be responsible if you lie to me, is the truth, that creates trust.
Don’t waste your time with liars, there are better things to do with your God-given lifetime.
Iran : the Ayatollah system is a monetary system. It reminds me of the indulgence sale (Ablasshandel) that Martin Luther criticized. Iran doesn’t allow the Internet, the main reason is the commercial aspect of it. The people of Iran are suppressed to pay to an Ayatollah without the commercial competition of the Internet. The media policy of Iran reminds me of East-Germany. The people of Iran are being financially exploited. Ergo if you make the Internet avaliable for the people of Iran, the Ayatollah regime will collapse. The Russian oligarch system collapsed when their foreign moneys was frozen, the same has to happen with funds of Iranian money in foreign banks. This is obviously a problem for countries that trade with Iran, they want to make money. Another aspect of the falsehood of the Ayatollah regime is the fact that it cannot be questioned. It’s a pseudo authority and not a real authority. Trump should send an internet and not bombs. Confiscated Iranian money in the US, establish a satellite based internet for Iran and drop off thousands of internet connecting devices. You have to drop off more Internet devices per time than they can slaughter or execute protesters. That will topple the falsehood of this middle age Ayatollah society. Just an idea. 🤔 Dropping off internet devices is cheaper than bombs, no war crimes point of attack either.
