Orcas, like other toothed whales (odontocetes), have highly specialized, dense ear bones that are not attached to their skull, which allows them to excel at underwater hearing and echolocation. These bones consist primarily of the tympanic bulla (which houses the middle ear) and the periotic (which houses the inner ear).
Acoustic Reception: Because orcas lack external ear flaps, they receive sound through their lower jaw, which is filled with fat that transmits sound to the ear complex.
The auditory system of the orca is designed to hear high-frequency sounds, often ranging up to 120 kHz, with the greatest sensitivity between 18 and 42 kHz.

Also ist ein Beinhaus oder die Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz mit ihrer Schädelsammlung in der Lage als Instrument diese akustischen Frequenzen zu erzeugen? Sein oder nicht sein ist der Dialog mit dem Schädel, wie wahnsinnig elementar, so wie Picasso’s verschobene Augen. Haben Sie sich jemanls gefragt warum in Beinhäusern die Knochen sortiert werden?
