The Mystery of the Leaping Fish is a 1916.
The Mystery of the Leaping Fish is a bizarre 1916 silent comedy that parodies Sherlock Holmes. It follows a cocaine-addicted detective named Coke Ennyday who uses massive amounts of narcotics to boost his energy while trying to bust an opium smuggling ring. The smugglers hide their drugs inside inflatable beach toys called “Leaping Fish”.
Fishy Joe.
The Plot: Ennyday is hired by the police to stop a wealthy opium smuggler named Fishy Joe. Joe is using a beachside rental shop that features “leaping fish” (large inflatable air mattresses) as a front to wash dirty drug money.
The Hero: Douglas Fairbanks stars as Coke Ennyday, a highly energetic, scientific detective who constantly injects himself with drugs, rubs cocaine on his face, and drinks heavily to solve crimes.
The Damsel in Distress: Joe is blackmailing Inane, an employee at the rental shop who blows up the fish mattresses, and trying to force her into marriage. Ennyday comes to the rescue to foil the smugglers and save her.

Luke 23:28
28 Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children.
29 For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’
30 Then
“‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!”
and to the hills, “Cover us!”’
31 For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”
Hosea 10:8
The high places of wickedness will be destroyed—
it is the sin of Israel.
Thorns and thistles will grow up
and cover their altars.
Then they will say to the mountains, “Cover us!”
and to the hills, “Fall on us!”

Friedrich von Bernhardi, (1849-1930).
Friedrich Adam Julius von Bernhardi.
Deutschland und der Nächste Krieg, 1911.
“Germany and the Next War” is a military-political tract published in 1912 by the German General Friedrich von Bernhardi. The book, which strongly reflects the spirit of German imperialism before the First World War, calls for aggressive preparations for an inevitable war in order to secure Germany’s hegemony.
The central core points of the work include: War as a biological necessity: The author justifies war as a “natural law” that is subject to the “struggle for existence” and argues that conflicts are essential for the preservation and further development of a nation.
World power or decline: According to Bernhardi, Germany faced a choice between actively striving for world power status or sinking into insignificant irrelevance. He saw a place in the sun, colonial expansion, and naval development as absolute obligations.
The book identifies Great Britain as the main enemy. Bernhardi advocates a preventive war and the dismantling of British hegemony to clear the way for German interests.
The internationally acclaimed and controversial work shaped German military thinking, later served as propaganda material for the Entente powers, and is now considered an influential document of aggressive German militarism.
